Sylvia Brown, Founder of Haven in Romania

My husband and I started the charity Haven in Romania 17 years ago. We work in conjunction with the Christian Baptist church in Piatra Neamt in Northern Romania; we started two foundations, one for care of the elderly and one a day care centre for children in special needs. Four years ago, we took a group of young people from Frinton Free Church for the very first time, and that’s continued and they have done an absolutely wonderful job in encouraging the youth in the Church in Piatra Neamt This year, this concert is to raise money so that we can bring the children from the orphanage to the weeks mission when we’re out there in August, so we would value your support and we would value your prayers. I really can’t wait to go to Romania, it’s my first time and I’m going because Helen ask me to, and she went there last year, and she said it was absolutely brilliant and it was just one of the best experiences in her life.

I’m going out to Romania with the group in August. It’s my 4th year in going, so I’m quite a old hand at it. I’m looking forward to it and I’m just really general job spotting.

I’m going to Romania for the 2nd time. Last year I went with the team and it was such a fantastic time and this time I’m taking Liz Marshall with me, and I’m sure she’ll enjoy it. Some of the kids haven’t been before, They’re so looking forward to going there, and I’m sure they’ll have a fantastic time. The Children in the orphanage just don’t have the chance to experience what we get here, and it would be such a pleasure, to go over there and go and take it to them.

I’m going to Romania for the 5th time in August. I’m really looking forward to it as I get the chance to continue the work that we started 4 years ago and all the friendships that we’ve made over the last 4 years.

I’m going to Romania for the 1st time this year. I’m really looking forward in going because I heard so much stuff about it and just want to learn a lift lesson and gain some really good experience whilst I’m out there.

 I’m going to Romania for the 1st time. I’m really going because I’ve heard such great things about it from people who have been in the past and I’m really looking forward to the experience, but I’m a bit apprehensive, but I’ve sure it will be good when I get there.
